摘要: 光子集成技术是光纤通信最前沿、最有前途的领域。当人们还在固守着“全光通信”的思路的时候,网络已在悄然改变。但是,当采用传统技术的光网络设备已经在网络中广泛应用的时候,运营商在面对新技术的时候,往往会出现选择延迟的效应。本文从网络规模和兼容性、技术创新程度,初期投资以及转换成本等的角度分析了运营商对于新技术采用延迟的内在原因。通过理论和实践结合的方式分析了光子集成技术在中国的市场实践和发展前景,为运营商决策提供参考。

Abstract: The networks literature suggests a network’s value increases in the number of locations it serves (the "network effect") and the number of its users (the "production scale effect"). In this article we discuss the most promising technology innovation in optical industry- photonic integrated circuit (PIC) technology. However, when traditional techniques of optical network have been widely used in the network, in face of new technologies, operators often choose to delay the effect. In this paper, the size and network compatibility, technological innovation, as well as the initial investment cost all cause new technology delay adoption. Through theoretical and practical analysis of the integrated photonic technology competition in the Chinese market, provide operators prospects and decision-making reference.
