Review of Application of Social Media in Education: from 2007 to 2020

Abstract: The literature related to the application of social media in education retrieved from CNKI and Web of Science is reviewed By using CiteSpace, authors, institutions, research hotspots and research trends of the literature are analyzed The results show that foreign researchers pay more attention to this kind of research than domestic ones, and the research is also more active abroad There are some overlaps between the foreign and domestic research hotspots, but most of them are different The overlapping hotspot is mainly on the application of social media in information literacy education.
