摘要： 澳大利亚小说家亨利 ,劳森 ( 1867-192 2 )的成就主要在于短篇小说。其内容主要有以下三个方面 :丛林生活、伙伴情谊和城市生活。虽然有人认为劳森不太重视写作技巧 ,但是实际上他形成了自己特有的风格 ,如情节简单 ,构思巧妙 ;选材严 ,开掘深 ;语言朴实生动 ,简练准确等。本文将谈谈他的短篇小说的主题及写作技巧

Abstract: Henry Lawson(1867-1922),master of short stories, is one of the originators & founders of Australian literature. The themes of his short stories include the bush life, fellowship & the city life. His writing techniques mainly lie in that his stories have simple & distinct plots which are ingeniously conceived, the materials of his stories are exactly selected and delved into deeply and his language is plain & vivid. In this paper, the themes & writing techniques are discussed
