Abstract: This paper endeavors to discuss about the difference between reading course for English majors and that for short term training class students who have graduated from universities and come back to get their advanced study in English . It mainly focuses on the selection of teaching materials, teaching methods and requirements, teaching orientation as well as some appropriate steps and strategies taken in directing reading course.
