Abstract: This paper discusses the difference between the external and internal evaluation in the practice of major evaluation at university. It elucidates the relation and commonness between the external and internal evaluation of various majors, and differentiates the scope, goal, mentality and method of evaluation. How to exert effectively the improving the function of evaluation is a problem which needs to be further studied.
