Abstract:

Nowadays the information age has undergone major changes due to changes in the ways of information exchange and dissemination, especially the extensive use of networks and other new types of video and advertising media which involve a lot of non-verbal and interdisciplinary means of disseminating information Traditional means of language translation have been difficult to adapt to the demand for a new era of communication activities Intersemiotic translation is a creative translation tool for the integrated treatment of the verbal and non-verbal information It is goal-oriented, complex, comprehensive and interdisciplinary, obviously a better way to fit the diversified verbal and non-verbal communication and dissemination activities However, due to various reasons, the domestic intersemiotic translation studies have been at the edge of the field of translation studies and have not yet been under considerable development This thesis analyzes the collected papers from several angles, trying to provide an overview on following issues:  the number of the papers published, research topics, research levels, research features and future research trends, in order to shed some lights on translation studies for future researchers
