Abstract: Ching is the unique color in Chinese, which is rich and generous in cultural meaning. Dai Wangshu, a
modem poet, is particularly fond of this color. It spreads all over his poems, and becomes a indivisible part of his
poems. The use of the color expresses the poet’ s distinct personality, which offers us a special way to read and
understand the poet and his poems.
