Abstract:

China is a vast country with unbalanced regional development Not only is there such unbalance among the eastern, central and western areas, it also can be found among different provinces and cities in the same area and even different parts of one province or city As a basic, leading and strategic industry, telecom service has a very strong connection with economic development, and the areas at different stages of development are expected to make distinctive requirements for telecom service industry In order to clarify the relationship between regional telecom service industry and economic development in China, based on the theories of the suitability between telecom growth and economic development and the related information in the three areas and with the international comparison, the suitability in the three areas has been researched Finally, this paper proposes developing guidelines of telecom service industry in the eastern, central and western areas during the period of “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”
