Abstract: In order to achieve the goal of overall poverty alleviation, Anhui province has made great efforts in targeted poverty alleviation by means of constructing new interior-open highland According to the data of 16 prefecture-level cities in Anhui province, through the multi-dimensional poverty measurement method and determining the weight of each index by principal component analysis, the multi-dimensional poverty index is established to analyze the poverty situation in Anhui province Then econometric model is set based on the panel data of 16 cities from 2001 to 2014 In this econometric model,import volume,export volume and the actual use of foreign investment are selected as key variables, and the multi-dimensional poverty index is taken as explanatory variables Regression results suggest that open to the outside world can help Anhui province realize targeted poverty alleviation effectively But the different ways and degree of opening have different effects on the poverty alleviation Based on the results of empirical analysis and practical situation of Anhui province, some suggestions are given
