Abstract: A university is entrusted with four functions-talent nurturing , knowledge creating , research fruit transforming and academic exchanging , while a teaching and research group led by professors acts as a basic unit in fulfilling the four functions. Therefore, professors are dutifully responsible for performing the four functions .
