Abstract: Text teaching is a focus of the intensive reading in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In practice we think that the analysis and exercise of discourses in the text should be put in first place in medium language training stage. The mastery of language functions should be considered to be one of the most important principles in the teaching process. Through the multi skills training in listening, speaking, reading and writing, the overall ability to utilize language and communicate can be promoted
