摘要： 文章对近世以来全球范围的社会变革的性质、意义以及中国社会转型的特殊性作了深入的分析。文章指出 ,社会转型 ,即日常所谓的现代化的过程 ,是人类发展史上最伟大的变革 ,从转型的角度审视这一“历史走向世界历史”的过程能够使人们对这一伟大的进程的本质获得更深入、新颖、独特的理论把握。

Abstract: The article analyses the basic nature、characteristics and historical meanings of social transformation across the globe.It is pointed out that social transformation is the process from non market economy to market economy in economic field,from centralization of state power to democracy in political field,from traditional culture to modern culture in culture field.At last,the article further discusses the porticularity of social transformation in China.
