摘要： “五四”新文化运动的反对派并不是守旧势力的同义语 ,需要对之归类析别。保守派只是反对派中的一部分 ,他们极力卫护传统伦理道德 ,反对思想和社会变革。梁漱溟和“学衡”派诸人分别代表了反对派中的两种不同发展方向 ,他们维护儒学的基本价值 ,力图在新的时代条件下对传统文化作出适应潮流的评定和改进

Abstract: The opposition faction in the “May 4th movement” is not a synonym for conservatives and needs to be categorized and differentiated. Conservatives are only part of the opposition faction. They struggled to uphold traditional ethics and morality, and were opposed to new ideas and social reforms. Mr. Liang Shu ming and members of the Xueheng Party, while safeguarding basic values of the Confucianism and trying to make updated review and improvement to the traditional culture in the new times, represent two different trends of developments in the opposition factions.
