Abstract: Globalization has given rise to an unprecedented exchange among different cultures and languages, which in turn allows a large number of foreign words to enter Chinese language in various ways, notably those from alphabetic writing systems to be accepted as they are for the first time in Chinese language, hence the growing of loss in translation in Chinese language. This article classifies loss in borrowed words translation, analyses its course of change, and gives a tentative prediction of its future.
