Abstract: Based on the broad sense of culture and cultural industry, this article holds that the traditional cultural industry lays the foundation for digital content industry, and the core of the latter consists in digitalization. Now, digital content industry has grown into the mainstream industry. They creative way of presenting content in the form of digitals becomes the driving engine of rapid economic development, which also leads the advancement of modern cultural industry. Specifically, by integrating “cultural resources” with the latest digital technology, digital content industry remolds the ways of producing and consuming, constructs new industry groups, and fosters potential consumers. Moreover, this industry promotes the update of the traditional industries by high-end technology, which in turn generates huge economic vales.
