Abstract: The issuance of the 3rd Generation（3G） licenses provides strong support for the development of 3G, which brings great vitality to the service innovation of mobile libraries In this context, this article briefs the statusquo and existing problems mobile libraries as well as the characteristics of 3G Following that the opportunities brought by 3G for innovative services of mobile libraries are described, together with a depiction of 3G’s strength in network environment
