Hardin’s tragedy of the commons theory expounds image and profoundly the fundamental basis of social role of institution and property rights Network society and its’ development increasingly reveal the characteristics of the network tragedy of the commons Based on analysis on the nature and characteristics of network society, this article illustrates the risk of occurrence of the network tragedy of the commons, and proposes a solution for its prevention
