Abstract:

With the research on the future network architecture, such as the Internet of Things and the ubiquitous network, the Wi-Fi, LTE, ZigBee and other emerging wireless technologies have made the spectrum resources gradually penetrate into people’s life, making new contributions to development of national economy This paper, through the research of the process of radio frequency spectrum resources transferred into the economic resources, found the technological development of spectrum was the core element to determine the usefulness of the radio spectrum and create economic value Therefore, this paper built the Cobb-Douglas production function to calculate the value of the contributions of spectrum development to the growth of GDP (Gross Domestic Product), and by the empirical study, we knew that development investment of spectrum could account for 63% of GDP growth in China The results would give reference to spectrum’s development and management from a macroeconomic perspective

Key words: spectrum, economic resources, Cobb-Douglas production function, Gross Domestic Product
