Abstract: The emerging ecological crisis has led to the study of “ecological government”, however this research paradigm in our nation is still in its beginning stage. In western developed nations such as the United States, Germany, and Japan, they have already made distinctive attempts in constructing ecological governments: the market balancing model in the United States, the network managing model in Germany and the law supervising model of Japan. In order to achieve the goal of harmony between human and nature, and find out a way to construct the ecological government with Chinese characteristics, it is necessary to learn from the successful experience of the United States, Germany and Japan in order to construct the ecological government in China, with efforts in all five aspects including the theoretical study, organization, market economy, network management and legal systems.
