Abstract: With the development of tourism industry, tourism has gradually become one of the important ways of poverty alleviation in southeastern area of Gansu In order to learn about its effect, 27 counties of the southeastern area of Gansu are selected as research subjects By using the data envelopment analysis method (DEA), the DEA output model is constructed, and then the total efficiency and decomposition efficiency (scale efficiency and pure technical efficiency) of tourism poverty alleviation are analyzed The study found that generally the tourism poverty alleviation efficiency in the southeastern area of Gansu is low, the scale efficiency has a larger influence on total efficiency, and the scale efficiency and pure technical efficiency show a reverse trend Finally, the ′improving the weak links, doing two jobs at once′ approach is put forward to increase the tourism poverty alleviation efficiency in southeastern area of Gansu
