Abstract: Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, put forward the new judgement and new requirement of “Three Musts”, and its ideological connotation inherits consistent historical logic and major theoretical innovation of Mao Zedong’s “Two Musts” ruling theme. 2024 the Party discipline learning and education carried out in the whole Party is the Party’s further deepening self-revolution, seizing the initiative in history, and promoting full and rigorous governance over the Party. It is also of vital importance to keep the CPC’s original aspiration and mission firmly in mind and closely connect with people, and reflects Chinese Communists’ political steadfastness and the original aspiration and mission in the new era. To understand the historical generation from “Two Musts” to “Three Musts”, it is necessary to analyze the situation and the task, clarify its development, grasp its connotation, and understand its practical direction.
