Abstract: Models of online transactions vary differently. However, the model ofthe third-party-provider that is the third party who provides online transactions gives rise to problems. All these problems are focused on the civil liability of providers of online transactions. There are four kinds of theories on this civil liability. But in the author’s opinion, the online transaction provider should first hold the liability according to the contract signed with users. And if there are other liabilities, they are largely influenced by the connection of service and transaction and the characteristic of the Internet. The self-disciplined rules are a kind of good solution to this problem.
