Abstract: Data risk refers to the risk associated with or derived from the internet data in the network society which can affect and disturb personal behavior, social psychology, economic situation or political order in the real society with the internet data as the carrier of spreading risk and causing harm Data risk is an assemblage of cybersecurity risk and threat, and is distinct from traditional social risk in terms of hazard, technology, confrontation and concealment Although data risk is controlled within the scope of China's cyber sovereignty at present, the government is still under great pressure It is proposed that currently the key strategy is to promote the construction of data risk management system in the direction of standardization for fulfilling the goal of resolving the existing data risk and reducing the additional data risk Following the strategy, recommendations are proposed such as strengthening information security risk assessment, establishing data risk warning system, and improving data risk laws and regulations
