Diversified Design for Evaluation Model of English Writing

Abstract:

Evaluation is an important part of English writing teaching It has a direct impact on students’ motivation and attitudes toward writing The traditional writing evaluation approaches are stereotyped and not conducive to improving students’ writing skills Thus, a series of design models and teaching practice have been tried in order to explore blog-based diversified evaluation model of second language writing, including diagnostic evaluation, self evaluation, peer review, collaborative evaluation within a group, teacher evaluation and writing portfolio evaluation And then, SPSS110 software is adopted to make a contrastive analysis on English writing test scores between the experimental group and control group just before and after the writing teaching experiment The results show that the evaluation models of college English writing designed in this experiment help improve students’ second language writing
