Abstract: For the purpose of researching regional differences of residents’ consumption, comparative analysis in east, central and west China is made from the aspects of consumption scale, consumption level and consumption structure. Static and dynamic panel data model are used based on provincial panel data to test the relationship between residents information consumption and economic growth in the three regions. Fixed effect model and first-order differential GMM method are applied. The results show that there was an obvious regional difference in the dynamic relationship between the residents’ information consumption level and economic growth, and that the interaction between eastern region and western region is significant while is not significant in the central region.
