Abstract: The new literary forms of police microblog are specially designed microblog articles by public security organization or police officers through referring to and imitating various network new literary forms, for the purpose of improving the work efficiency and establishing a sound relationship between policemen and the public. While introducing the concept of discourse construction grammar and discourse construction coercion, by using coercion from discourse construction theory, new literary forms of police?microblog are explained from two perspectives—discourse construction coercion in mixed genres, and discourse content coercion from discourse construction structure. The results show that unique discourse coercion mechanism in new literary forms of police microblog primarily contributes to its popularity.
