Abstract: Youth’s value orientation decides the future value orientation of the whole society. Wechat platform creates a new way of the transmission of core values in the universities. From the perspective of 5W mode, Wechat platforms of 39 universities are investigated and analyzed, the function of Wechat platform in communication and the construction of the socialist core values is summed up, which includes the control function, the training function, the interactive function, the value guidance function, etc. The rational utilization of it will take a positive role on transmission, heritage and development of universities’ culture.
