低碳试点政策对国际快时尚企业区位拓展影响研究——来自中国“低碳城市”建设的准自然实验证据

Impact of Low Carbon Pilot Policy on Location Expansion of International SPA Enterprises —Quasi-natural Experimental Evidence from Construction of “Low Carbon City” in China

摘要: 基于我国2011—2018年277个地级市数据,选取UNIQLO等5家运用SPA (specialty retailer of private label)模式的头部国际快时尚企业,采用双重差分法探讨低碳试点政策对国际快时尚企业区位拓展的影响。结果表明:相比于非试点城市,试点城市的国际快时尚企业区位拓展数量比样本均值降低了约0.422个单位,这意味着低碳试点政策的实施显著减少了国际快时尚企业的区位拓展行为。异质性结果显示:抑制效应主要体现在我国东部和中部城市的子样本中。研究结论表明,国际快时尚企业应探索出一条绿色可持续发展路径,并为我国本土快时尚企业发展模式提供一定的参考。

Abstract: Based on the data of 277 prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2018, 5 leading international SPA enterprises, including UNIQLO are selected, and the DID (differences-in-differences) method is used to explore the impact of low-carbon pilot policy on location expansion of international SPA enterprises. The results show that compare with non-pilot cities, the number of location expansion of international SPA enterprises in pilot cities has significantly decreased by about 0.422 units compared with the sample average, which means that the implementation of low-carbon pilot policy has significantly reduced the location expansion behavior of international SPA enterprises. The heterogeneity results show that the inhibitory effect is mainly reflected in the sub samples of cities in eastern and central China. The conclusion indicates that SPA enterprises should gradually explore a green and sustainable development path and provides reference for the development mode of China’s local SPA enterprises.
