Abstract: The Communist Party of China’s ideological work in the new era has made significant achievements, but at the same time it is still facing the challenge of various social trends. As one of the social trends in contemporary China, historical nihilism shows new features in terms of nihilistic content, narrative logic, and transmission channels. In the face of the proliferation of historical nihilism, the CPC has taken powerful measures to expose the essence of the problem, to fight back with precision, and to seize the initiative based on historical facts, and has accumulated rich practical experience. In the new era, the CPC needs to criticize historical nihilism by firmly taking a political and people’s stand, striving in unity by uniting all positions and subjects to wage a long-term struggle against historical nihilism and maintain the security of mainstream ideology.
