Abstract: Under the operation of capital logic, western modernity spreads magnificently around the world. On the one hand, it brings great development of productive forces, and on the other hand, it also contains its own problems that are difficult to be solved. The times call for a new scheme of modernity so as to provide a new choice for exploring different cultures and road patterns of modernity. The proposal of a community with a shared future for mankind opens the possibility of discourse of pluralistic modernity and achieves discourse transcendence over western modernity. This idea breaks through the western linear narrative mode of time, surpasses western traditional values, bids farewell to the thinking logic of “a strong country is bound to hegemony”. It has set the course for reforming the global governance system, leading pluralistic modernity and realizing good global governance. As a discourse practice of constructing a community with a shared future for mankind, the “Belt and Road Initiative” not only highlights China’s sense of responsibility and mission as a major country, but also vigorously promotes the formation of a diversified world pattern.
