Live Online Teaching Model for International Chinese Majors from Perspective of Interaction—A Case of Contemporary Chinese Course for International Student

Abstract: Guided by the theory of interactive linguistics and based on live online teaching of Contemporary Chinese course for international students, an interactive teaching model with the characteristics of a suitable platform, flexible resources, dynamic presentation and constant interaction is proposed. Meanwhile, the lessons represented by the teaching of theoretical knowledge, extracted from live online teaching based on an interactive teaching model, were observed and calculated in terms of time distribution and teacher-student verbal behaviors. The research shows that selecting suitable live online teaching platforms is the basis guarantee of multi-modal interactive teaching for international Chinese majors. Transforming offline teaching resources to the forms fit for online teaching can make theoretical knowledge less abstract; Dynamically presenting the teaching content in a variety of modes such as animation can enable international students to follow the pace of teachers through screen; Inspiring students by designing questions and reaching agreements between teachers and students can stimulate students’ desire to interact and improve the classroom teaching effects.
