Evaluation and Analysis of Teaching Modes and Learning Effect in Introduction Course

Abstract: Focusing on the introduction course related to multimedia communication of communication engineering major in co-cultivation program of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), the effects of adopting teaching methods of reflection and embodied learning on teaching were explored By using questionnaire method to obtain the students’  subjective feedbacks, boxplot method, Pearson correlation coefficient method, and association rules mining method, the teaching effects of introduction course before and after improvement in teaching methods were compared The results show that the feedbacks and the multimedia communication scores of the grade 2016 students who were given the new teaching methods are superior to those of grade 2015 students, and so are the subsequent courses which are related to multimedia communication The results proved the effectiveness of the teaching methods of reflection and embodied learning in the introduction course
