Abstract:

This paper introduces the definition, characteristics of digital libraries and digital reference service Then it points out digital reference service is the objective need adapting to the transformation of library information services by comparing digital libraries with the readers of literature of traditional library services The paper clarifies that digital reference service is the way to transition in user information services of digital library Compatibility and operability are the two principles of establishing digital reference service platform The establishment of a consulting team of academic reference librarian is the fundamental guarantee of offering good digital consultation services
