Construction of College Students’ Employment Competitiveness Evaluation System Based on Market Demand

Abstract: Currently, the intense employment situation and its great pressure brought to job seekers make the research on employment competitiveness of university graduates receive more and more attention from the academia and the society, and the research is developing in depth and scope. Through reviewing the research on the evaluation of employment competitiveness of university graduates, the evolution of employment competitiveness of university graduates is elaborated, using the methods of theoretical study and qualitative research. Also, the Delphi method is adopted to construct the evaluation system of university graduates’ employment competitiveness. The results show that in order to improve the employment competitiveness of university graduates further, it is necessary to meet the demand of the employment market and focus on 10 dimensions and 47 indicators, such as the students’ knowledge and professional ability, team cooperation, research and innovation capacity, etc. The research provides important reference for higher education institutions to better implement the employment guidance service.
