Abstract: This article first studies digital divide as well as its influence, by putting emphasis on the digital divide between China’s development in city and countryside and that of developed countries Following that, by method of the IDI analysis issued by ITU, it analyzes the advancement level of China’s informatization and digital divide between domestic cities and the countryside Finally, the reasons for the emergence of digital divide are explored and countermeasures are proposed
