Abstract: Computational thinking ability is the core content of ability cultivation in the course of “College Computer Fundamentals”. Based on the requirements of “science combined with engineering” model of training and characteristics of students majoring in science, combined with years of teaching practice, the computational thinking-oriented practical teaching system of “College Computer Fundamentals” is constructed. From the perspective of computational thinking training, the practical teaching process and methods are explored, and the method of cultivating computational thinking of students majoring in science is suggested. The results show that the student satisfaction rate is 92.5%.
