In the 1950s, a large number of universities with distinct industrial features have been established in ChinaThese universities play an irreplaceable role in industrialization of ChinaAfter the reform of higher education management system, development of these universities confronts difficult situationThis paper demonstrates the meaning of the core competence of university, analyzes the advantages and drawbacks in the development of universities with industrial features, and furthermore puts forward measures to enhance their core competence
