The strong openness feature of social media platform and virtual identity of users on this platform lead to release of information with a certain degree of randomness and concealment Therefore, for information recipients, how to assess the credibility of information on social media platform has become a very important issue Based on elaboration likelihood model (ELM), the factors of influencing information credibility of social media platform are studied Data is collected by a questionnaire survey towards persons who often use Micro-blog, QQ space or WeChat Moments, and then regression analysis is used to analyze the data Results show that media dependency, interaction, media transparency, argument strength and information quality respectively has a positive effect on information credibility Knowledge level positively moderates the relationship between argument strength and information credibility But the moderating effect is not significant, among media dependence, interaction, media transparency respectively and information credibility
